He went down every shaft before he asked anyone to follow him.
You are not stuck because you are lazy. You are stuck on a floor you cannot see.
Clay Digital exists for one kind of owner: the one who has bought the course, paid the agency, and coached themselves at midnight, and is done being the customer of the marketing industry.
Every owner who finds this firm arrives with the same three receipts: a course that went stale, a retainer that owned their results, and a browser history full of advice that never became a system. Nobody sold them the building. They were sold the top floor, over and over, by an industry that makes its money keeping people there.
We built Clay Digital to take owners down. Not to do their marketing for them. Not to sell them another floor. To walk them down every shaft of their own business until the system at the bottom is installed, documented, and theirs.
The only reason anyone should trust a guide to do that is if the guide went down first.

Mike Clay has been in the building since before it had a basement.
Founder | Marketing Architect | 30 Years in the Trade
Yellow Pages, by hand. He got into marketing in high school, hand-drawing Yellow Pages ads. That was the whole building then: one floor, one directory, one phone number.
GeoCities, when the ground moved. When the web arrived he was building sites on GeoCities while finishing his studies, and he stayed in the industry because it gave him the freedom to do the rest of his life on his own terms. First earthquake survived.
Thirty-five offices, then none. He launched and grew a company to thirty-five offices nationwide. It went under when a partner committed fraud. That is the whole account of it, and it is the beat that matters most on this page: he has stood on Floor 1 of his own collapse, with everything rented and nothing owned, and watched it stop.
He walked away. All of it. He took a hobby full time and did not intend to come back. The industry noticed the marketing he was doing for himself and pulled him back in anyway, which is its own kind of receipt.
The turn. His son was born. He came back to the work on purpose this time, and in 2007 he ran his first small-group coaching cohort. He has been taking owners down in rooms like that one for nineteen years.
The four earthquakes. The businesses he coached came through every one of them still ranking, still booking, because the work had been done five floors down where the tremors do not reach:
He spent years studying how people change, first in counseling rooms and then in coaching cohorts, and the through-line was the same: people do not move until they trust the guide went first.

What We Believe
Four things that are only true at the bottom:
Architecture beats output
Volume builds noise. Structure builds authority.
You cannot post your way out of a positioning problem, and we will not pretend you can in order to sell you a content package.
Receipts beat adjectives
Every claim we make carries evidence.
When the evidence cuts against us, we publish that too.
Your judgment is the strategy
Our people verify before they decide. So the method is taught free, the prices are published, and nothing on this site runs a countdown timer or a manufactured scarcity play.
That is written into our editorial guidelines as policy.
Tactics expire. Systems compound.
Every platform shift since 1992 killed a tactic economy and rewarded the owners running something structural underneath.
The next shift will do the same. We build for that one.
If a claim on this site cannot be checked,
we do not make it.
Three ranks. One building. Everyone starts at the top.
Apprentices join Reality Marketing Skool free, tell the room what is not working in three sentences, and get a floor number back. Then they watch the weekly descent on someone else’s business until they can see the building for themselves.
Journeymen apply for The Marketer’s Journey and descend their own shafts: which one, which floor, and the install that takes them down, guided 1 on 1 and documented as they go. Cortex, the instrument that runs Floor 5, is included with membership.
Masters take others down. That rank is granted by the Council on proven, testable results. It is never sold.
Clay Digital’s coaches work from the same documented method Mike built and teaches in public, so what you get is the architecture, not a calendar slot with one person.
How ranks are earned, what the Oath requires, and how the Council governs is a separate page.
Reading it is the first act of a Journeyman.
You Already Know Which Floor You Are On
If you have read this far, you already know.
TELL THE ROOM. THREE SENTENCES.
You will get a floor number back,
and nothing else.
