Reality Install
A 90-day engagement with Mike Clay · Limited Monthly Seats
After 30 years building marketing systems · here’s what I see ↓
Your business doesn’t have a lead problem.
It has an authority problem.
Lead-gen lives downstream of authority. Fix the authority, the leads fix themselves. Reality Install is a 90-day engagement where I install the marketing engine your business should’ve always had — personally, one operator at a time. Let’s get on a call for 30 minutes and see if I’m the right guy for what you’re trying to build.

“The businesses I work with don’t have lead problems. They have authority problems. I install the fix in 90 days, personally — five at a time. Let’s see if I’m the right guy for what you’re building.”
You didn’t build this business by renting your authority.
You built it by being the person who answered the phone at 11 PM, signed the personal guarantee on the lease, hired the people who failed you, and rebuilt it after they did. You built it by being unwilling to outsource the things that mattered.
Then somewhere in the last ten years, marketing got handed off. Not because you wanted to — because you couldn’t be everywhere. The agencies got their retainers. The “consultants” got their packages. The dashboards multiplied. And the authority you spent decades building — your name, your reputation, the trust your category has in you — became something you rent every month from somebody who didn’t earn it.
⁂ ⁂ ⁂
Here’s what nobody says out loud, because it’s the part that hurts:
You’re being replaced in real time, and you can feel it.
Your name used to mean something when prospects searched. Now it doesn’t come up. Your competitors used to look up to you. Now they’re getting the work you should be getting. The phone used to ring because of who you are. Now it rings because of who’s running ads this week. And you wonder if your name still means what it used to in your market — or if it’s been replaced and you just haven’t been told yet.
If you’re nodding — let’s keep going.
“Lead-gen lives downstream of authority. Fix the authority — and the leads fix themselves.”
Five questions. Honest answers.
Before we get on the call, take a minute with these five. They’re the same questions I ask every operator who books a call. Be honest. Nobody’s watching.
- Nº 01 When a prospect asks Perplexity, ChatGPT, Gemini, or Google’s AI Overviews — “Who’s the best [your category] in [your city]?” — does it answer with your name?
- Nº 02 If your top three competitors all hired the same marketing firm tomorrow, would your prospects be able to tell the difference between you and them six months later?
- Nº 03 When you imagine handing your business to your son, your successor, or the next operator who takes over — are you handing them an asset that compounds, or a subscription that runs?
- Nº 04 How many marketing agencies, consultants, or “experts” have you hired in the last five years — and how many of them are still standing?
- Nº 05 Do you know your marketing ROI? Can you point at a campaign you ran last quarter and tell me how much revenue it generated — without an agency dashboard between you and the answer?
If you answered “no, can’t tell, a subscription that runs, more than one, and no” — you have an authority problem, whether you’ve been calling it that or not.
That’s exactly what we’d fix on the call.
What gets installed in ninety days.
We work one-on-one for 90 days. I’m not handing this off to associates. I’m not running it off a template. It’s you and me, building the marketing engine your business should have always had — the way I’d build it if it were my business.
That’s the work. Same architecture every client — but built specifically for your business. The way I’d build it if it were my business.
Five seats. Ninety days.
I do the work personally.
Reality Install is one operator at a time, five per quarter — three seats left this quarter. If you’re seeing yourself in what I’ve described — let’s get on a Google Meet video call.
How is this different from the other things you could buy?
It’s the question every serious operator asks. Here’s the honest answer.
At the end of the work, the only question that matters is: who owns what?
| What you can buy | What you have when it’s done |
|---|---|
| Hire an agency | They own the work. You rent it. Stop paying — it goes away. |
| Buy a marketing system or framework | You own the framework — and you did the work alone. You’re on your own to make it run. |
| Hire a Fractional CMO | They own the relationship. You rent their attention. The day they leave, you start over. |
| Hire an EOS Implementer | You get a meeting cadence and a scorecard. The marketing operating system isn’t in scope. |
| Reality Install | You own the engine. You own the skills. You control the tools. You’re not renting marketing anymore — you’re running it. |
The system compounds because nobody can take it from you. The contract ends; the work stays yours.
Hiring one is a good call. But a new Fractional CMO walks in cold. They’ll spend six months figuring out what your brand actually is, who your buyer actually is, where your authority gaps actually are, and what they’re supposed to measure.
Reality Install hands them the answers on Day One. Brand Architecture locked. Buyer mapped. Authority map drawn. Measurement system live.
Install first. Hire second. You’ll get a different CMO — the one who shipped from week one.
I started this work in 1992.
I’ve never stopped doing it.
Here’s what 34 years of doing this work looks like on paper.
“Operator. The person actually running it. Not the person who delegated marketing to someone else and forgot what they bought.”
Five years. Two regional brands. Real numbers.
Two operator-led service businesses in the same regional market. One is a premier 40-year salon brand — Chattanooga’s longest-running, top 1% of its category globally, “Best of the Best” 21 consecutive years. The other is a luxury medical aesthetics group with multiple locations across East Tennessee — top 1% of medical spas nationwide. Five-year engagement. Five Google Business Profiles managed. One authority engine, installed and run by me personally — same architecture that ships in Reality Install.
405 → 3,040
1,500 → 7,600
2,600 → 13,300
832 → 6,900
334 → 6,900
199 → 1,200
456 → 2,400
1,300 → 6,000
“Map dominance from 2% to 68%. From a suspension wipeout to 62%. Five years. One operator. Real numbers.”
These aren’t vanity metrics. Google Maps impressions, call clicks, direction requests, and website clicks are real customers finding real businesses and taking real action. The salon brand’s local market position more than tripled. The med spa was rebuilt from a Google Business Profile suspension that wiped out everything — and ended at 62% local dominance on a grid twice the size of industry standard. Same methodology that ships in Reality Install. Personally installed. Personally run.
That’s what 5 years of authority architecture produces. The numbers are sourced directly from Google Business Profile reports and 13×13 GEO grid measurements — happy to walk through them on the call.
If it doesn’t work, I’m not done.
I don’t do refunds. Here’s the honest reason: the marketing engine I install becomes yours the moment it goes live. A refund would mean me asking you to give back work you already own. I won’t do that to you.
If by Day 90 the engine isn’t installed and running the way we defined it at intake, I keep working with you at no additional cost until it is. No clock. No cap. No fine print.
That’s my stake. Not your refund — my time, until you have what you came for.
What $15K actually buys.
Three ways to pay. The total covers the 90-day install, full access to me for the nine months after, and the CortexMCP platform that runs your engine. No retainer. No subscription you can’t escape. You’re paying once to own the system forever.
One payment. Simplest start. Work begins Day 1.
$5,300 on Day 1, Day 30, Day 60. Same work, spread the cash flow.
Same total, financed monthly through an approved partner. We’ll help with the application.
Every option includes the 90-day install with me personally, monthly 1-on-1 strategy calls for the nine months after, full CortexMCP access for the year, and the peer group of serious operators going through this alongside you. No hidden fees. No upsells. No ‘oh by the way you also need…’ surprises six weeks in.
You’ve read this far.
Let’s talk.
If any of this is landing — let’s get on a call. Thirty minutes. Either we’re a fit or we’re not. I treat operators like operators — I’ll tell you straight.
Pick a time. I’ll be there.
Pick a time.
I’ll be there.
Thirty minutes in a call. Just you and me. We’ll talk about where your business actually is, what an Install would look like for your specific situation, and whether we’re a fit. No pitch. No pressure.
- · An honest read on where your authority gap actually is — named in plain English.
- · What an Install would look like for your specific business — what gets built, what changes.
- · A straight answer on whether we’re a fit — even if the answer is no, you leave with clarity worth more than the call.
Before you pick a time, a quick ask. The FIT meeting is 30 minutes of my time, one-on-one. If you book it, here’s what I’m asking from you:
- · Show up on time, ready to be honest about where your business actually is.
- · Treat this as a fit conversation — not a free “pick my brain” session.
- · Be ready to decide. If we’re a fit, you’re in. If we’re not, we part as peers.
That’s the deal. No surprise. Just a real conversation about whether we’re the right fit.
Your booking comes straight to me — no team, no filters. You’ll get a confirmation email within an hour with a few questions to answer before we talk. Answer those, and I’ll walk into the meeting already knowing your business.
“Most operators read this page two or three times before they book. Take your time — and come hang out where the rest of us are figuring this out in real time.”
The Marketer’s Journey
A free Skool community of operators figuring this out together. I post monthly market intel, drop free resources from inside the work, and answer questions from members. No pitch. No upsell pressure. Just the room where the conversation happens between booking calls.
